Why Astrology? Why use astrology to understand and plan our lives?  Why not just wing it?

If you´re already happy, content, and at peace with your life, then you don´t need astrology.  "Lucky" people. joyous people, relaxed people are already using astrology unconsciously; people who follow their hearts rather than their minds know intuitively when it´s time to act, or to refrain from action. They can feel who is trustworthy and good and who should be avoided.  They can sense when something feels right , or when it feels out-of-kilter. However in our society (as opposed to ancient hunting-gathering societies) we are taught to rely upon our thinking (better said: our social conditioning, what our parents, teachers, government, advertisers, and the media have convinced us we want) rather than upon our inner feelings and intuition.

Astrology is a way of getting in touch with what is going on inside of us, to help us understand what our true feelings - our purpose in life - really is.  To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Astrology is how we tune into the cosmic rhythms flowing around and through us

Science says there´s nothing to astrology.

Science also says all you are is a bunch of chemical reactions.  The fact is that "science" is just a body of opinion, like any other religion; there's nothing factual or provable about it.  For example, science considers a theory to be true if it can be shown to be statistically significant, and the results can be replicated by other researchers.  Well, a French researcher named Gauquelin - setting out to disprove astrology - surprised himself by discovering that there is an astrological effect which is statistically significant; moreover his results have been replicated by others (who originally set out to disprove Gauquelin). These results have been available for the past thirty years, and yet mainstream science still rejects astrology. This is because mainstream scientists are not so much interested in truth as in protecting their position as the undisputed high priests of our society.  True, rationalist-materialistic science and technology have brought most people a high level of comfort and convenience; but at the cost of bankrupting their spirit and joy.  Are you happy in your work, your relationships, your life? Do you know anyone who is?  If so, then you (or they) don't need astrology.

Astrology was the world religion once, and it shall be the world religion again, because people have had enough of the emptiness and meaninglessness of rational-materialism.

What´s the difference between astrology and psychics?

No difference; an astrologer just uses a horoscope (a schematic map of the heavens at the moment someone is born) to assist his intuition, just as a card reader uses cards or a palmist looks at hands. Some psychics just pull their impressions out of the air.  But astrology has the advantage that a horoscope often makes it possible to time events and emotional changes pretty exactly.

What can an astrologer tell me?

That's up to you and the astrologer. However, since an astrologer works intuitively, the more specific information you want, the more specific his answers can be.  "Should I marry such-and-such a person?"; "should I quit my job as a secretary even though it pays well and try to make it full-time as a musician?"; "Will I marry and have children?"; "Should I sell my house now and move to Florida or wait 'til there's an upturn in the real estate market?" - These sorts of specific questions can be given specific answers. Questions like, "When will my luck change?" or "Tell me my future" can only be answered in general terms.

Is astrology infallible?

Astrologers are humans, right? Besides, what astrologers (or any psychics) are seeing are the potentials, probable realities, not what will happen.  The flow of the universe is too fast; decisions are being made moment by moment; not even God knows what is going to happen.  All astrology can tell us is the wind speed and direction at a given moment, but not where the leaf is going to land.
